To preserve the beauty and integrity of your silver, we recommend the following care:

✦ Use regularly
Frequent use naturally slows tarnish and enhances silver’s luminous quality.

✦ Wash by hand
After use, gently wash with a soft sponge, warm water and a mild, non-citrus dish soap. Avoid soaking or using a dishwasher. Never place mother pearl spoons in the dishwasher.

✦ Dry immediately
Use a soft cloth to prevent spotting or fine surface scratches.

✦ Polish occasionally
Use the polishing cloth as needed, this will restore the shine and eliminate oxidation stains. Occasionally, a quality silver polish paste can be used. Over-polishing with this paste can wear down fine details.

✦ Store properly
Store in the tissue bag or box supplied, or wrap in tarnish-resistant cloth or closed containers.  Keep shell spoons separate from other utensils and inside the tissue bag provided to avoid scratching the shell. 

✦ Minimize exposure

Keep pieces away from rubber, newspaper, or acidic materials.
Avoid prolonged contact with salt, acidic foods (like lemon or vinegar), or moisture.
